Dr. Malcolm Richardson

Instructional Leader Fellow

As an Instructional Leader Fellow, Malcolm works with the Executive Director to improve and refine the Jounce coaching model and leads training for teachers across Jounce partner schools.

Prior to joining Jounce, Malcolm served as Director of Educational & Artistic Programming at the Choir School of Delaware, where he led youth development initiatives and integrated social justice themes into music education. He previously held roles as Music Education & Performing Arts Director at William D. Kelley School and Performing Arts Director at Great Oaks Charter School, where he built district-level partnerships, designed culturally responsive curricula, and mentored aspiring teachers from the Relay Graduate School of Education.

Over the past decade, Malcolm has taught and directed programs across K–12 and higher education, spanning Special Education, Musical Theater, Africana Studies, and the Philosophical Foundations of Education, through institutions including Rodel, Delaware State University, and the Center for Black Educator Development. His work is grounded in building community partnerships and engaging BIPOC communities, which informs his approach to coaching and teacher development.

Dr. Richardson holds a Doctor of Music Education and a Master of Arts in Music Education from Liberty University and a BA in Vocal Performance from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
