Raven Redmond
Instructional Leader Fellow - Graduate June 2024
Prior to joining Jounce, Raven began her education career as a founding teacher at Memphis Delta Preparatory Charter School in Memphis, Tennessee. During Raven’s time in the classroom, she served in various capacities including math instructional coach, educational consultant, nonprofit advisory board member, and a co-designer for multiple math curriculums including writing supports for students with disabilities. She has led math workshops, webinars, and developed resources for teachers around the country. In 2020, Raven was selected as a Tennessee Education Leader by the Tennessee Department of Education from an applicant pool of hundreds of educators in the state due to her expertise, consistent growth of students, resilience, and willingness to improve as an educator. She continued work as a math and online content consultant with the department for some time afterwards. Prior to joining Jounce, Raven served as an instructional curriculum coach at Parkway Village Elementary where she managed, coached, and supported elementary school teachers in math, reading, and science.
Raven graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching from RELAY graduate School of Education in Memphis, Tennessee.
She now serves as an Assistant Principal at DC Prep in Washington DC.
