Sean Tucker

As a School Acceleration Partner, Sean works with the Executive Director to improve and refine the Jounce coaching model and leads training for school leaders and teachers across Jounce partner schools.

Prior to joining Jounce, Sean served for five years as the Principal of KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy, a K-4 elementary school with KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools.  Before that, Sean was both an Assistant Principal and Principal-in-Residence at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy in North Philadelphia.

Sean started his career as a 2011 Teach for America Greater Philadelphia Corps Member at Young Scholars Charter School.  Over his seven years at Young Scholars, Sean taught 6th-8th Grade Math, Social Justice, and Reading.  He also served as the Dean of Culture and Assistant Principal during his tenure.

Sean holds a BA in Political Science from Penn State University and a Principal Certification from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
